Important Message from the Minnesota Department of Lakes & Recreation Commissioner:
Due to our below average temperatures this winter in the state of Minnesota, the Department of Lakes & Recreation had to take steps to protect our fragile water systems and will be closing many of Minnesota‚Äôs most popular waterways. The thick ice caused by extreme cold has threatened fish populations due to oxygen starvation, and the fish will need extra time to recover.  Due to this occurrence, watercraft use will be restricted on Minnesota lakes throughout the season. The impact damage and closing dates for each lake varies, please select FIND YOUR LAKE above to find out specifics for your body of water.
